Abstract

Preparation of a new generation of scientific and technical specialists to ensure the engineering and technical future of Ukraine is one of the priority tasks of national importance. In order to implement it in a comprehensive school, it is extremely necessary to carry out profile education of high school students to the basics of designing activities. This implies the presence of the teacher’s newest, scientifically substantiated content of profile education of high school students to the basics of design and development activities. In this connection, the scientific basis for designing the structure and content of the main components of profile technology training in high school has been disclosed — the profile subject «Technical design» and the special course «Design and construction of engineering objects», the content of which will help to orientate high school students on the choice of the profession of engineering- technical direction. To design the structure of the curriculum «Technical Design», theoretical and methodological principles have been developed that can be used for the design of curricula and other specialized subjects of the educational branch of «Technologies». The conceptual provisions of the selection of special courses have been determined for the profile teaching of technologies and theoretical and methodological principles of designing the structure of the curriculum «Design and construction of engineering objects». The scientific basis and technology of designing the content of the textbook of the profile subject «Technical Design» and the textbook of the special course «Design and construction of engineering objects» has been elaborated, which is illustrated by the structural-functional model. The peculiarities of the use of the subject «Technical Design» by the teacher and the special course «Design and construction of engineering objects» have been determined in the complex for forming of the design and technological competence of high school students, development of their creative and technical abilities. A substantiated conclusion has been made about the expediency of using by the teacher the profile subject «Technical Design» and the special course «Designing and construction of engineering objects» in the complex.
