Abstract
In this article a matter of astronomical information’s function in the course of physics in secondary school is described, as well as it’s content list is given. Also the ways of propedeutics of gymnasium students astronomical knowledge by means of the modern physics textbook are pointed out. The main purpose of astronomical information in the course of physics in view of the goals and objectives of teaching physics is the following: to illustrate the effect of physical laws on the example of specific astronomical phenomena and objects; to encourage learners to increase cognitive activity; promote the formation of a holistic view of the phenomena and processes in nature; to form a scientific-natural picture of the world and a scientific outlook. At the same time the main purpose of astronomical information in the course of physics in view of the goals and objectives of teaching astronomy is the following: propedeutics of astronomy; formation of basic astronomical knowledge in students; еncouraging students to learn more about astronomical material; formation of elements of astronomical culture in students. Methods of submitting astronomical material during the study of physics in general school include using astronomical information, either basic or additional, illustrating the action of physical laws on the example of particular astronomical phenomena and objects; offering students to solve exercises and tasks with astronomical content; using astronomical information in research projects and abstracts that the teacher proposes to perform and prepare for individual students. Given the designation of astronomical information for the physics course in general school, further research requires a whole range of questions. These include the question of selecting the content of astronomical information that is appropriate to use in the process of teaching physics. As well as methodological development of lessons, tasks and research projects.
