Abstract
This article investigates the main approaches to the socialization of students in the educational process. The Law textbook is one of the means of solution to the problem. The socialization pattern of students is defined in this article. The substantive and methodological components of the pattern are aimed at the implementation of the motivational, developmental and educational functions of the adolescent's personality and form avaibility to practical activities. The practical component of socialization forms social and substantive competencies, experience of civic and vital activity, vocational guidance. This is facilitated by participation in creative and intellectual competitions, clubs, electives, specialized training, as well as participation in civic youth organizations, promotions, etc. The main content lines of student socialization in social science are defined: self-consciousness of one’s own essence, interaction of a person with people and nature, a person in professional activities and his/her civic activity. In adolescence the formation of their own personalities is completed, but there is an opportunity to adjust this process in educational activities. The textbook has a significant influence on the adolescent cognitive process, main and additional texts, as well as creative and problematic tasks. In jurisprudence using cross-curricular links (such as history, literature, biology, geography subjects) contribute to the formation of students' individual characteristics and moral attitudes. The system of comprehensive analysis of the legal situation includes the establishment of causal relationships, the search for arguments, legal and moral evaluations. Such comprehensive analysis of the situation requires the use of individual and group forms. Group work is based on trust, communication, responsibility, patience with other opinions, etc. Creative tasks in personal development should be based on the student’s ability to find the way of solving them.
