Abstract
The article analyzes the possibilities of geographic courses on the possibility of implementing key economic concepts in them, through which it is possible to realize a cross-cutting content line of entrepreneurship and financial literacy, as well as appropriate competence. The structuring of the content on the conceptual basis for the course “Economy: Ukraine and the World” in the grade 9 is offered that most effectively implements the content line of entrepreneurship and financial literacy and can be used for the elaboration of teaching materials for educational activities and related educational literature. The article also offers the additional material from the economic field that can be relied upon in the process of the implementation of the course. Modern educational realities and paradigmatic changes in the educational process create the preconditions for the formation of key, interdisciplinary and substantive competencies through the appropriate level of the content component and methodical apparatus of the textbook as the main means of study. In the context of the situation in Ukrainian education, when economics disappears as a course for general education institutions, geographic courses can become fundamental for the implementation of economic categories. Given their features and specifications, the course “Facilities: Ukraine and the World” can take the main place, where on the basis of the spatial illustration of the components of economics, you can consider many fundamental economic categories, processes and phenomena. Among the analyzed structural subdivisions of this course, the most important, in our opinion, are section 1 “National Economics in the World Economics” and the topics “Trade” and “Financial Services. Computer Programming“ because of their attractiveness as economic processes.
