Abstract
In the article an attempt was made to systematize and generalize the experience of theoretical research and practical work in institutions of general secondary education under the conditions of the New Ukrainian School on the example of introduction of the textbook “Geography of Ukraine” for grades 10–11 for the courses of choice (authors — O. M. Topuzov, O. F. Nadtoka, V. O. Nadtoka, V. S. Yatsenko, T. S. Martyniuk, M. H. Krylovets). Studying geography, on the example of the textbook “Geography of Ukraine” for grades 10–11 (in co-authorship), and first of all, part III of the “Economy of Ukraine”, is of particular importance in economic education, since it is here that education applicants get acquainted with the basic economic concepts, study manufacturing on modern examples in the territorial aspect, learn the skills of economic analysis. In the process of studying the geography of agriculture, the essence of agrarian policy of Ukraine is revealed at the present stage of economic development. Its successful implementation depends not only on the sufficient quantity of mineral fertilizers, the material and technical base of farm enterprises, rational logistical work, but also on the education applicants, who after the completion of the institution of general secondary education will be able to apply their talents and knowledge in the economy of the country. Besides the part I of the “Natural Environment and Resources of Ukraine” of the course of physical geography is also related to the economic training of education applicants. It is also presented an approach to developing the content and structure of economic knowledge and skills, evaluation of their significance in practical activities and the system of subjects of natural-mathematical cycle of general education. Thus, the economic preparation of the education applicants in the process of teaching the fundamentals of science (mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, geography) is successfully carried out under the condition of effective use of the economic potential of the program material on the example of the textbook “Geography of Ukraine” for grades 10–11 (in co-authorship). The article is intended for research workers who study the problems of economic education and the education of education applicants. It can be useful for practical specialists in institutions of general secondary and higher education.
