Abstract

The new Ukrainian school requires the creation of new approaches to the teaching of subjects in order to form students the cross-cutting competencies in students. One of the means of organizing educational activities, in particular in geometry at lyceum at the level of standard, is the appropriate system of exercises. The problem of the selection and functioning of educational exercises is always relevant to scholars, teachers and methodologists. Today one of the ways of solving it is the method of selecting a system of exercises based on the taxonomy of educational goals of B. Blum. This approach allows organizing the study of geometry of lyceum students at the level of standard, taking into account their level of knowledge and skills, ensuring the individual pace of material absorption and the formation of key competencies. The construction of a system of exercises in geometry at lyceum at the level of standard based on the taxonomy of B. Blum involves: 1) the specification of common cognitive goals in the form of cognitive achievements of students and on individual components of the subject matter; 2) interpretation of the cognitive outcomes of student learning in the form of questions and tasks; 3) construction of a level system of exercises from geometry to each component of the content of the subject (defined by the program for students of lyceum at the level of standard). The system of exercises in geometry at lyceum at the level of standard should contain an excessive amount of tasks for levels of «knowledge», «understanding », «application» to enable all students to pass these levels at an individual pace. Tasks for the levels of «application», «analysis», «synthesis» should be accessible, interesting and useful for students, provide the motivation for studying geometry at lyceum at the level of standard and the possibility of geometry as a subject for the formation of the key competencies of students.
