SYSTEM OF PROVIDING PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS OF KOREAN REPUBLIC WITH THE TEXTBOOKS

Abstract

The article considers some aspects of the problem of providing general secondary schools with the textbooks. Due to the adoption of a new law in Ukraine ―About the education‖ there is an ongoing renovation of the legislative base in all the areas of education which is the core of its substantial modernization. The initial goal of this process is a modernization of syllabuses and improving the means of education whereas the textbook remains an important physical media of educational content. The author of the article refers to the positive experience in the matter of providing primary and secondary schools of Korean Republic with the textbooks, points out the specifics of that system, its accomplishments and issues, and also compares it with the Ukrainian system of textbooks publishing.
