POTENTIAL OF TEXTBOOK ON THE LITERATURE-BASED READING FOR THE 3RD GRADE IN THE IMPLEMENTING THE REQUIREMENTS OF A TYPICAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Abstract
Reforming the Ukrainian education system, the implementation of the Concept of the New Ukrainian School involves changing the goals and main objectives of general secondary education in accordance with the modern paradigm of education and global trends in educational systems. Modernization of the content of primary education requires the creation of high-quality modern textbooks for the New Ukrainian School, filling them with effective means of organizing educational activities that will contribute to the formation of key and subject competencies of primary school students. The article analyzes didactic and methodological research in the field of Ukrainian textbook’s creation for primary school. The analysis of the theory and practice of domestic textbook’s creation gave grounds for conclusions that at each stage of development of primary education in Ukraine new requirements were put forward to textbooks. The urgency of creating innovative textbooks on the literature-based reading, which would ensure the formation of reading, communicative and other key competencies in primary school students, is substantiated. The methodical potential of the new textbook on the literature-based reading for the 3rd grade in regard to realization of tasks of semantic lines of the typical educational program is analyzed in the article. The conclusion is made that the creation of a textbook on the literature-based reading for the 3rd grade on the basis of typical educational programs is a new task for the New Ukrainian School. The methodical apparatus of the textbook is created on the basis of the child-centered learning, which puts forward the interests, needs and capabilities of students in the first place. Procedural performance of tasks creates preconditions for development of positive personal qualities of the child-reader. The content, structure and methods of presentation of didactic material in the textbook on the literature-based reading for the 3rd grade are subject to the formation of reading, communicative and other key competencies in primary school students. The article is addressed to teachers, scientists who study the problem of creating textbooks for primary school, teachers of higher pedagogical educational institutions and institutes of postgraduate pedagogical education.
