Abstract
The article deals with the improving of educational programs quality as the main educational content carriers and enhancing their correctional and developing orientation. We highlighted and described contents, activity, correctional and developmental components of the subject “Rhythmic”. We described the content of educational material correctional and developmentalprograms (according to the requirements of the State educational standard), which is aimed at providing for each student the necessary level of knowledge and skills. We characterized correction and developing component, covering all contents of the subject “Rhythmic”. It is aimed at the formation processes of musical-rhythmic, cognitive activity, speech, proper activities, corrective development of the child personality with mental retardation, in particular the emotional and volitional activity. The content and structure of the program are determined. We examined the educational and developmental tasks of the course and described their semantic lines. The characteristic of the program content that has a clearly defined structure is described. We analyzed correctional and developmental component of educational content and showed the expected results of correctional and developmental influence on cognitive area of children with mental retardation. We described in detail the trends of correctional and developmental work, which to be carried out on the material. This work covers processes of cognitive functions (perception, memory and thinking), language activities and correctional personal development.
