Abstract

The role of the textbook “Natural” for high school as part of teaching and research environment, the expediency of implementation textbook research functions, disclosed criteria for performance, the level of implementation of the authors of textbooks and educational impact on student achievement. Textbook as didactic system reveals the content of education and at the same time is a specific model of learning and education, expressed in a tangible form, creating a learning environment for the student during class and in preparation for the lesson at home. A good tutorial is inextricably linked with the student, always “at hand”, even when it is divided with the student in the space for student conducts a dialogue with him in various life situations outside school and home. Handbook of Natural should be used as part of the learning environment for the formation of natural science and research competence of students. In terms of textbooks as part of educational and research environment should be used provision of Pedagogy and Psychology John. Dewey, in particular, that the textbook should satisfy the natural need of the student and the study
findings. The main objective of the course is aimed at developing students’ naturalscientific world, ideas about the role of man in nature, the assimilation of the basic concepts of natural science, which form the core of knowledge about nature; the formation of natural science and research competence, which is especially relevant in connection with the introduction of STEM education, so the formation of habits of thought to act by law in resolving any problems that any future activity will be an obstacle to corruption. We believe that the assessment of teaching manual functions, in addition to officially recognized (information, developmental, educational, administrative, research) should include indicators that evaluate research function according to each of the above-mentioned features of the textbook, including research. The textbook “Natural” for high school by integrating all its elements content based common natural sciences concepts (Naturalistic world view, the image of nature, the general laws of nature, methods, knowledge of nature) makes it possible to continuously form the natural science competence, research competence of students during the study course, train future highly intellectual responsible members of a competitive society.
