Abstract
The article considers the features of the formation of the subject competence in the eighth through the introduction of regional geographic concepts that represented in geography textbooks. Formation of concepts in different classes in geography class is very necessary process, as it lays the foundations of scientific thinking of students. All scientific knowledge on the subject consists of theoretical concept that summarizes played in the language configuration and reflects the surrounding world and objective reality. With the development of science of Ukraine and Ukrainians there is a revision components, which form the regional peculiarities in the study of geography and consequently there is a need to master notions a regional geographic contained in a school course “Geography of Ukraine”. The author made an analysis of the actual textbooks on the subject content of the concepts of regional studies, as well as how these concepts are introduced in the content of the textbook. Study in Ukraine takes place on the local history and regional geographic approaches, as they provide the most natural method of synthesis of the nature of the data, the population, economy. Among school geography course “Geography of Ukraine” today has the most important place in shaping the individual citizen of Ukraine, providing study their native environment and supporting the development of knowledge about ethnic, national, territorial, linguistic, state patriotism. The object of this course is to create a holistic way home country in terms of integrated components – the environment (nature), residents (population), economic relations (farm), which are in interdependence and interconnection. The uniqueness of this course is reduced to a fact that students have the opportunity to experience the natural interaction between regional, industrial and territorial, social and territorial complexes on one object of study. Geography of Ukraine, in fact, is regional geography because it examines the geographical envelope of what is within states – Ukraine and operating concepts – population, location and relationship sectors of the economy of Ukraine. Thus, Ukraine is the most important geography of scientific disciplines that provides long-term and permanent control over the quality of the environment and human life and human society in general. Analysis training program showed that the study of geography in 8th grade “Ukraine in the world: nature, people” – aims at forming an integrated scientific and geographical picture of the state based on its comprehensive study. This course helps the student to understand a citizen of Ukraine, lay knowledge about the nature and form of students’ knowledge and understanding of the Ukraine as a whole country, where there are a variety of global and regional processes thus form his subject competence. The introduction of regional geographic concepts into the school curriculum is correlated with geography regional level of development of culture, which determines the effectiveness of display corresponding level of geographical knowledge, geographic awareness and active use of scientific and geographical dictionary. All this gives reason to believe that the development and implementation of geographic information to facilitate studies of material solving the problem of differentiated instruction. Mastering the concepts and terminology of science geography is reflected in the definitions in textbooks, so students create their own scientific vocabulary geographical dictionary whom use during the school time and later adult life. To the basic geographic concepts that carry regional geographic semantic component include primarily the very notion of “Ukraine”, which incorporates a geographic component – the name of the country and its location, geographical location, so and regional, spiritual – place of birth, home, residence. The main task of school geography course is – the formation of secondary school pupils of scientific regional geographic concepts through disclosure of major geographic patterns of assimilation in the formation geographic information regional geographic content is important as exempt from storing huge factual material and simultaneously increases the strength, depth of knowledge and forms subject competence.
