Abstract

The article focuses on the implementation of modern linguistic tendencies in the content of certification works on the Ukrainian language and literature in EIT – 2016 format in terms of standards and correspondence between academic linguistic science and school course of Ukrainian. Scientifically grounded tasks and possible answers formulations in terms of the internal syntactic structures in accordance with Ukrainian literary word usage as well as the principle scientific character are suggested. In terms of grammatical structure of tasks formulations, firstly, inappropriate use of verbs with postfix -ся should be avoided, preference should be given to formulations in the form of simple infinitive clauses with the infinitive as the main member; Secondly, standard features of basic word order should be considered. The use of active or passive constructions in task and possible answers formulations must be justified in terms of formal grammatical and functional and stylistic views. In the instructional materials concerning writing tasks the non-prepositional phrase ‘find out the problem’ which violates grammatical usage can be found. In formulations of open tasks of the instructive character the use of various specific forms of verbs requires the standardization. In Ukrainian language tests of EIT format, on the one hand, the grammatical forms, preserving the defining features of Ukrainian grammar should be promotedand distributed, on the other hand, discrepancies in the names of certain terms in tasks formulations and those registered in the encyclopedic, lexicographical and terminographical works, university and school Grammars should be avoided.
