Abstract

The article considers the peculiarities of the development of the structure, content and methodical “Labor training” textbook unit for the preparatory class of special secondary schools for children with mental retardation based on learnercentered and competence-based approaches to learning. Consider the value of a textbook on labor training bases for technological training and the formation of self-employed and home school activities. The special method are embedded in the textbook, which provides for the implementation of innovative contents, methods and teaching methods, forms and means necessary for the effective implementation of labor training of this category of students in special educational institutions. Material textbook presented as a clear methodical system. Particular attention is paid to the contextual material in the form of incremental instructional cards that are available not only for technical representation form (composed of photos and paintings staged production of the product), but the contents contain instructive material available in value. Each stage of manufacture of the product is comprehensible children with intellectual disabilities, there are instructions to repeat similar tasks, contributing to the consolidation of an algorithm of actions younger pupils with mental retardation. Since the purpose of mastering knowledge, provided the content of the textbook is not only the formation of certain subject-practical knowledge, as well as address the significant problems, educational aspects play a significant place. Content tasks built so that students not only learn from a variety of manufacturing processes objects of labor, use of labor, implementation of labor actions and operations, but also get acquainted with future professions. Information model is a textbook study, labor-training process, reflecting the theory and technique of labor training, the knowledge and skills that are of general culture and experience of the people who provide the formation of the schoolboy, its information culture. Use the textbook in the practice of labor education in special secondary schools will strengthen correctional directing the educational process, pedagogical focus attention on the child as an object of learning and socialization.
