Abstract
In the article, the peculiarities of using an electronic textbook at the Ukrainian language lessons are studied. It was stated that electronic publications are the means of learning that are the way to ensure the modern organization of educational process, including pupils’ self-education. Electronic textbooks (ET) are a part of the educational process; they have educational and methodological purpose and are used for different types of pupils’ learning activities in the class, independent, individual and distance learning. The methodological guidelines for teaching the subject by means of an interactive learning tool at different stages of the lesson are represented; therefore, a model of an electronic textbook that fulfills the tasks of forming pupils’ skills of independent learning was provided. The author states that a computer program ET serves as a coach and an assistant controller, so that the use of the abovementioned teaching tool ensures a positive microclimate at the Ukrainian language lessons, which improves speech and language competence of the pupils, their observation, organization of the search and research activities, forming the ability to work independently and analyze one’s own outcomes. Therefore, the use of electronic textbooks in learning languages enables not only to modernize a lesson, but also to improve its practical orientation qualitatively.
