Abstract

Change in teaching methodic is a necessary step in the strategic path of our country into the European community. The article analyzes the theory and practice of creating and using an electronic guide on history in secondary schools, describes approaches to classification of electronic textbooks, the expediency of their use in modern school education, revealed teaching requirements for electronic textbooks intended for students, prospects of further improvement and development of electronic aids for the teaching of history in schools. The article gives an analysis of online resources and publications on the development of electronic visual guides and use them for teaching students, it also summarizes the development of the leading researchers on the topic, given comparative characterization. The main objective of the article is to report to public pedagogical benefits of using electronic educational manuals and the need for creative collaboration of technically educated professionals, researchers and history teachers with practical creation of electronic textbooks. Implementation of the educational process in history lessons, under multilateral principles, systematic, focused approach requires new solutions. Frequently technical and computer knowledge of students is ahead of the existing teacher’s knowledge. To keep up with progress and to be interesting to the younger generation, the teacher should use new methods. One of these solutions is the use of electronic visual guide. Learning and fixing of educational material in such form as an electronic visual aid could open new horizons for teachers, because it allows to provide information in several ways.
The article describes the situation with the use of electronic textbooks in the study course of history in schools at the moment, the experience of using them in the past and prospects for the future.
