Abstract
The article analyzes the didactic and methodological aspects of building a natural history textbook as a means of formation at younger schoolboys of environmental skills. The study of science in elementary school determines the special stage in the development of the natural history education students, because at the same time addresses two critical issues: there is mastery of teaching and learning methods, and environmental protection, the development of value orientations in relation to nature. At the same time we take into account the theoretical basis of the key concept of ‘‘skill’’. Provide textbooks of natural science with practical orientation of content based on student experiences and the development of problems and situations that provide the effectiveness of knowledge, handling of changes and new situations in the complex form the environmental skills of primary schoolpupils.
