Abstract

In the article discovered questions of automated text analysis textbook as the main medium of instruction. Texts of textbooks is an information platform of student achievements. The complexity of texts and language quality of textbooks are factors in the formation of students knowledge and skills as the basis of subject and key competencies. Text analysis of textbooks as one of the conditions as improving the quality of textbooks and learning outcomes should include general factors that affect the performance of perception and understanding of educational material by pupils. This analysis can be done using a number of methods, including computerized. Determined that the solution of the problem of evaluating the quality of ukrainian textbooks’ language by the use of computer technology will facilitate the study of successful experience of foreign scientists for the establishment and implementation in a training process automated means for evaluation of text component of schoolbooks. In the article, online resources that enable make the analysis of texts diffi culty for readers of a certain age group, examined. Autor revealed results the investigation, during which proved the possibility and feasibility of using the resource to test for readability by using foreign techniques adapted to the Slavic languages (the formula Flesch-Kincaid, index Coleman-Liau, Automated Readability Index, SMOG, readability formulas Dale-Chall). This will facilitate to results of the examination of textbooks, which, however, is insuffi cient for prognostic conclusions. This article describes results of foreign scientists investigations which demonstrate the ability and prove the feasibility of establishing a computerized software for analyzing the text component of school books, what will help assess linguistic features of the text, and other factors of complexity of verbal content not included in the classic formulas readability training tests.
