Abstract

The article deals with the problem of developing programmed textbooks on geometry, I. Teslenko participate in the development programmed textbooks, analyzes the US programmed aids («book-tutors»), which gave rise to the creation of programmed textbooks, considers «teaching» and «controlling» textbooks, reveals two ways of programmed presentation of educational material: linear and branched, singles out fi ve problems that must be taken into account when writing a programmed textbook (determining an array of information selected for the  programming of sections, dosage of mathematical material for the students of the 9th grade, a system of student’s actions (answering questions, solving suggested examples and problems, etc.), determining the place and role of answers in programmed manuals, optimality of adjusted programmed educational material).
