Abstract

The necessity for the creation of a new generation of a Literary Reading textbook for the 2nd–4th grades on the basis of integrity is specifi ed. The methodological integrity is ensured by taking into consideration the ideas of the developmental teaching, the culturological, Ukrainian awareness, artistic and aesthetic line of this subject. The system and activity-based, competence and technological approaches serve as a means of the achievement of the textbook integrity. This process is ensured by the criteria of the reading material criteria, determination of the throughcontent topics, the only list of symbols, the structural rhythm of the textbook content, the technology of the gradual comprehension of fi ction, various kinds of the text material visual support.
