Abstract

Socio-economic development of our country has led to the emergence of new types of educational services and activities of professionals in the field of education related to counseling. The growing demand of consumers for consulting services has necessitated the preparation of a new generation of consultants in the field of education. Given the growing consumer demand for educational counseling services, the development of pedagogical counseling, the growth of the network of counseling organizations and the lack of special training of such specialists, National Pedagogical University named after MP Drahomanov in 2014 opened a new and unique in Ukraine master’s educational program «Pedagogical consultancy». The purpose of the article is to substantiate the content of the training of master consultants in the field of education and the development of educational and professional program. The program is a normative document for the development of the standard of higher education of the university for the preparation of masters in the field 01 «Education / Pedagogy» in the specialty 011 «Educational, pedagogical sciences» and professional qualification «educational consultant, methodologist, teacher of pedagogical disciplines». The program contains general information about the program, its purpose, the amount of ECTS credits required to obtain the required degree, higher eligibility of graduates for employment and further study, teaching and assessment, program competencies and learning outcomes, resource implementation of the program and academic mobility, a list of components of the educational-professional program and their logical sequence of use in the educational process. The content of the program has theoretical and methodological validity and innovationpractical orientation. The developed content of the program promotes high-quality training of specialists in pedagogical counseling. The educational-professional program is necessary for planning and the organization of educational process, realization of accreditation of the educational program, definition of the maintenance of education in system of advanced training and professional orientation of applicants of higher education.
