Abstract

In the article, the issues of the interrelations between religion and school education, which are topical for Ukraine, were discussed. Nowadays the regulation problems have been solved at the legislative level; however, there are still some problems with the laws introduction in practice. In particularly, the subject of religion education was introduced, but its provision does not include the world lay-outs in methodology. The models of the interrelation of religion and education, which were acceptedin the world, can be divided into three groups; each of them draws attention to  the certain important aspects of such interrelation. Common tendencies were summarised in 2004; however, the situation in some European countries is still quite different and controversial. Nowadays in Ukraine, it is necessary not only to provide the opportunity to introduce the religious component in the system of general education but also to determine its place and tasks; in order to guarantee it, it is necessary to take into consideration both the theoretical and methodological lay-outs and the practical ways of solution of the controversial situations.
