Abstract

This article analyzes the content, structure and design of History textbooks in the period from mid XIX to the 1930-s for Ukrainian secondary schools in Galicia and characterizes the History textbooks for the Galician secondary schools of the given period. The author elucidates the nature of translation from the German and Polish languages into Ukrainian.
