Abstract
The article clarifies the problems of reading by schoolchildren, which need to be solved in view of the challenges of the time, in particular, the task of optimizing the work on the texts of works of art as carriers of cultural and value knowledge, which forms the personality. The author offers a system of questions and tasks to the literary text, aimed at students mastering the elements of analysis and interpretation of a literary work, mastering the algorithms of research and creative activities, norms of educational communication, independent understanding and harmonization of educational activities. The article presents an analysis of O. Ostrovsky’s play «Bezprydanytsia» «following the author». This type of analysis, which is based on the plot of the work, and the main link is the episode (scene), resembles the creative process of the artist. Students follow the development of the author’s thought, analyze key episodes, empathize with the characters, psychologically motivate their actions, study the artistic fabric of the work. The presented analysis correlates with modern strategies of interactive reading and communication, is focused on the development of various aspects of the reader’s activity and promotes the transition of each student to higher levels of artistic perception. Questions and tasks are addressed to the reader’s emotions, and to the semantic understanding of the text, and to the creative imagination, and to the aesthetic view of the art form; they combine collective and individual work on the text. In the course of the pedagogical experiment the growth of control indicators of reading competence was noted, such as: to determine the problems posed by the author; analyze the subtext; evaluate the role of plot-compositional elements of the work; to make the psychological characteristic of heroes taking into account art details; to conduct a dialogue in the process of analysis of the work; successfully work in groups, pairs; create your own oral and written expressions.
