Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of didactic potential of the economics textbook for the formation of entrepreneurial competence of lyceum students for the ability to use the acquired knowledge in the conditions of market relations. The author presents a method of accumulating economic knowledge through the practical use of the content of the textbook. The basic principles of the competence education of economics in lyceum and ways of its effective implementation in the content of the textbook are revealed. The importance of the structural content of the textbook for teaching in new conditions is noted. The examples of application of didactic possibilities of the textbook of economics for the formation of entrepreneurial competence of students of lyceum are demonstrated. Based on the analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature, the author of the article interprets the concept of “entrepreneurial competence” as a set of qualities, knowledge that helps a person successfully and qualitatively solve business problems and achieve high results in entrepreneurial activity. The formation of entrepreneurial skills occurs when students are involved in student self-government and research, play the role of organizers of school affairs, choose a future profession, plan to create their own business and so on. Further research will require the issues of diagnostics of entrepreneurial competence, development of effective forms and methods of formation of entrepreneurial competence of high school students, as well as comparative consideration of the formation of entrepreneurial competence in schools in Ukraine and Europe. Using a multidimensional pedagogical system in the educational process in economics, focusing on the competence approach in teaching, the teacher, applying the content of the textbooks and changing the forms and methods of teaching, develops entrepreneurial competence in students.
