Abstract

The article analyzes the didactic-methodical aspects of constructing the textbook "I Explore the World" as a means of forming environmental skills among junior pupils. The study of an integrated course in elementary school determines a special stage in the formation of key and subject competences of elementary school students. The simultaneous solving of educational tasks is highlighted when mastering the methods of educational-cognitive and natureprotective activities, development of value orientations in relation to the surrounding world. The integrated textbook "I Explore the World" aims to formulate key and subject competencies, develop environmental competence, implies awareness of and compliance with the rules of environmental behavior; civil and social competencies that involve working with others to achieve a common goal, being active in class and school life, respecting the rights of others, being able to act in conflict situations, caring for their own health and preserving the health of others, maintaining a healthy lifestyle; know yourself and the world through observation and research. Among the subject competencies that are formed in the course of studying the “I explore the world” course, natural, technological, social, historical, civic, health, healthful educational areas of the State standard of primary general education are fundamental, manifest in the ability of students to solve available personal and socially important practical problems related to the vital needs of a first grader and his public life.
