Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of a school textbook, as a stimulant and organizer of student learning activities. The author disclosed state approaches to education and the goals of the education system in Kazakhstan. The article also describes the main principles on which the didactic complex of the textbook is based: science, accessibility and feasibility, consciousness and activity, the connection of theory with practice, systematic, consistency and continuity, visibility; describes the features and stages of the preparation of school textbooks in the context of the modernization of education and the introduction of innovative technologies. Thus, the school textbook is considered by us not just as a source of knowledge, but also as a didactic tool, primarily as a source of students’ independent use of knowledge in the process of organizing and implementing their own (subject) activities related to the awareness of subsequent experiences, as a process unfolding in activities and in communicating students with each other and the surrounding reality.
