Abstract

In the conditions of globalization of modern society for the construction of new public relations, informatization of knowledge and providing of the quality of educational services and flexibility of educational process have a decision value. One of the main tasks of education in the conditions of enormous informative stream consists in that, to teach students effectively to use information and communication technologies (ICT). Fast growth of ICT gives new possibilities in education, pulling out, but, new requirements to the teaching. Information and communication technologies are combination of information technologies with communication for the decision of various tasks of modern educational informative society. Modern information and communication technologies of studies Internet technologies, multimedia programmatic facilities, office and software, electronic manuals and textbooks, systems of the controlled from distance studies, is specialized (systems of computer accompaniment of studies). In the article basic features and advantages of the use of IСT are generalized in the modern system of education. The importance and efficiency of application of the newest information and communication technologies is grounded. The concrete examples of application of certain technologies are resulted on the different types of lessons, and also examples of geography lessons which can be exposed more fully and interestingly by ICT. It is grounded, that application of ICT makes the educational process more interesting, clear, effective and in some cases more organized.The substantive scientific provisions of the article can be used by teachers at preparation to the lessons of geography with the use of concrete types of information and communication technologies. Modern ICT enable to create a new educational environment, which is able to promote quality of geographical education, brought over to outer informative space. And in this environment not the study of material, but the development of skills of thought, interpersonality relations and creation is emphasized.
