Abstract

Implementation of the Laws of Ukraine “On Higher Education” (2014), “On Education” (2017), world processes of globalization and integration determine introduction of changes into training Doctors of Philosophy taking into account diversity and quality of doctoral programs, implementation of individualization and academic freedom principles, enforcement of applied content of the programs and streamlined determination of independent study topics. The author proposes the content and modular structure of the discipline “Methodology of Thesis Work” according to the program of Doctors of Philosophy in education. It is oriented on the
specializations: 011 “Sciences on Education”, 013 “Primary Education” and 014 “Secondary Education”. This discipline is taught during the first year of postgraduate studies and is designed for one ECTS credit. The program structure of the discipline “Methodology of Thesis Work” includes four substance modules. The content of these modules is as follows: Module 1. Science as innovative sphere of innovative and research activity; Module 2. Phenomenon of research work and its specificity; Module 3. Scientific discourse of methodology for modern research work; Module 4. Legislation, organization and ethical background for research work. The article represents topical dimension of seminar talks of Module 3 Scientific discourse of methodology for modern research work; forms and methods of the seminars realization are proposed. Plans for seminar classes and content of independent study are given.
