Abstract
One of the directions of the state policy in the field of improving education is the updating of the educational content in the logic of the competence approach, which requires the creation of modern teaching aids. The methodological basis for this textbook is cultural, communicative, activity, studentoriented and competence-based approaches. The main methodological principle in the development of speech of children with hearing disorder is the principle of situationally conditioned learning speech communication, the use of which provides a shift of emphasis from language learning as a system to teaching speech communication in an active communicative practice. According to this principle, the speech situation acts as the basis for learning — both as a form of organization of the learning process, as a system of relationships between interlocutors, and as a way of selecting and organizing speech material. The article considers new approaches and technologies in the creation of the first manual in the Republic of Belarus for the development of speech for children with hearing disorder; innovative methodical solutions and distinctive features of its content are indicated.
