Abstract

Annotation. Implementation of straight-through lines of key competences is being done taking into account the reinforcement of orientation trend to social significance of the content of education. It presupposes introduction of the autonomy of the education managers in decision making in the context of creation of the management system of students’ social competence development in educational institutions. The author provides content analysis of subject discourse for pan-subject and key constituents of social competence, peculiarities of the arrangement of educational and cognitive activity and content of subjects from the point of view of education managers. Theoretical background for the development of social competence is also disclosed: patterns for mastering of a definite type of activity, planes of development — cognitive (perception of the world and selfperception), spiritual (formation of values, motivation, creed) and creative (demonstration of creativity in different types of activity). Personality-oriented, environmental and activity approaches were of the prime priority during the research. Social competence is integrated into all educational subjects and is aimed at enhancement of motivation, cognitive interest to learning, mastering the system of knowledge (cognitive constituent). It is also directed at formation of skills for socially standardized and role behaviour using the system of trainings and pedagogical measures, development of students’ ability to apply their knowledge and skills in different kinds of activity of real-life situations (personal constituent), as well as adaptation and socialisation of students with the help of their social experience enrichment (activity constituent) through mastering of different types of activity (public, educational and cognitive, research, creative, civil).
