Abstract
The article presents for consideration the problem of formation of responsible behavior of children of primary school age. Dependence of behavior from the developed views is determined. The importance of raising the sense of responsibility at the primary school age, as the most favourable for developing the best moral qualities, is emphasized. The views of well-known psychologists, philosophers, thinkers about the peculiarities of forming a sense of responsibility in the personality at school age are analyzed. The necessity of pedagogical influence on the education of responsible behavior of children is indicated. Readers for school and extra-curricular reading have been used as a means of upbringing. The author focuses on 90-s XX century to be the time of the best example of a collection of works of educational orientation. The content of works, structure of textbooks, peculiarities of problematic questions and tasks after texts are analyzed. The article emphasizes the importance of raising the sense of responsibility of primary pupils as a personal quality. Interdependence of emotional sphere of a child from the content of educational literature is indicated. Selected works from readers that promote the development of a sense of responsibility in the life of a child, the formation of responsible attitude to relatives, nature, their pupils’ duties, patriotic feelings. The article highlights the necessity of selecting the tasks for the texts being read in order to form the desire to apply the acquired knowledge and emotional impressions from the readings in practical work. The importance of pedagogical assistance in educating primary pupils of an active life position through the formation of a sense of responsibility was emphasized.
