Abstract

The author explains the author's concept of the system of textbooks on biology for grades 6–11, which embodies the ecology-evolutionary and competence-based approaches to learning. The specifics of the implementation of the ecological and evolutionary approach in the structure and content of the system of textbooks on biology are justified. The ideas of evolution and eco-centrism are characterized as a conceptual ecologo-evolutionary approach; Orientation of the content of textbooks on the formation of subject competence in biology and natural science competence in general. The necessity of observing the corresponding algorithm for writing biology textbooks is proved, which ensures the implementation of competently oriented instruction. The concept of system of textbooks on biology for grades 6–11 on the basis of ecological and evolutionary approach and didactic principles of implementation of ecological and evolutionary approach to the teaching of natural sciences (didactic conditions, principles and laws) are developed and scientifically substantiated which is visualized in a didactic model of teaching natural science on the basis of ecological and evolutionary approach. The technology of teaching biology based on ecological and evolutionary approach is developed. Author's concept of biology textbooks for students in grades 6–11 embodies the idea of EEP (evolution and eco-centered approach) and competence approach, directing the educational process in the development of students' natural science subject competence and biology as compulsory components of general cultural identity and its development creativity.
