Abstract

The article concerns issues of effectiveness of modern textbooks and the combination of print and electronic teaching tools, while creating innovative school environment. It features the modernization of educational content of textbooks that have become a necessity in the experimental teaching activities of the creative team of lyceum "Intellect" in Kyiv. It also features the content and structure of the experimental practical course in Ukrainian language and the new experimental course "Country Study". The article contains the materials on improving some English textbooks to achieve high quality school education with advanced study in foreign (English) language, English literature, English grammar, etc. The author highlights the peculiarities of teaching the natural science by the textbooks, developed by the writing team of the lyceum: «Science» and «Biology» (Grade 2–7), «Physical Science» (Grade 8), «Physics. Advanced Level» (Grade 9–11). The author gives the recommendations on the applications of experimental educational materials in educational institutions with the advanced study in foreign language and classes of physics and technical profile.
