Abstract

The article presents conceptual bases of creation of Ukrainian literature textbook: the methodological basis of the concept (the idea of personality-oriented, competency and activity approaches, citizenization paradigm of learning, a modern vision of ways of development of Ukrainian literature, psychology, art and reading), defines the requirements that must be met by educational book, its main functions, purpose and objectives, structure, contents and criteria of evaluation. The emphasis on the possibilities of the textbook in the development of subject (reader) and the key competences, the importance of providing conditions for the formation of the subjectivity of the student-reader: representations of the reader's route of questions and tasks to develop skills of self-organization, focusing students for reading activities, changes in readership and personal development. Emphasized that the present textbook contains the characteristics of self-instruction is practice oriented and technological. The structure and content of the school books give a clear picture of what and how to teach and learn. Technology tutorial offers the teacher a guide to the scope and nature of educational material, its sequence, methods and techniques of work, the student recommendations for the effective assimilation of subject content at any desired level, building skills to learn, to acquire knowledge, skills of self-organization and self-development.
