Abstract
The article discusses the methodological features of a modern textbook for school geographical course “Ukraine in the world: nature, people” (8 cl.). Since the didactic textbook model of the educational process of discipline and some important methodological tool in the teacher, the article author try to uncover one of the approaches to the expert of the semantic content of textbooks on geography. Because the study of geography in 8 classes, is aimed at developing students’ scientific and geographical picture of the state - the first time laid Ukraine contents set geographical facts. In the main conducted psychological and educational research on the use of textbooks in the classroom geography in basic school, the authors devise the requirements for determining the semantic content of the textbook of geography and to consequently submit to the direction of experts. However, the content of the textbook of geography Ukraine for students of 8 class as a major academic publication must meet its main mission, namely, to educate young people a sense of civic dignity, their own creative position to strengthen the state in Ukraine, generate knowledge about the natural environment and resources native land and areas living, found valuable relations and the rise of the homeland as a kind of cradle and people produce respect for historical and geographical heritage, to assert itself as a responsible citizen of Ukraine Thus, Ukraine is the most important geography of scientific disciplines that provides long-term and continuous monitoring of the quality of the environment and human life and human society in general. Hence, the expert should be based on three factors in assessing the textbook, which is involved in the tender: the use of perfect literary language; quality illustrations; systematic exposition of structured educational geographical material.
