Abstract

In the article, the author observes the peculiarities of the content of teaching foreign languages at the primary school, defi nes the objects and the criteria for the assessment of textbooks as the main means of their content comprehension. On the basis of the analysis of the current textbooks conducted by him, the corresponding conclusions were made, and the recommendations for their content improvement were formulated.
