Abstract
In the article, the problem of usage didactic prognostics in the context of the theoretical and methodological provision of creating modern textbooks was observed. The importance of didactic prognostics in the area of creating textbooks was specifi ed. The main functions of didactic prognostics in forecasting the development of a textbook as an important education means were considered. The methods of scientifi c forecasting which will be used in the context of the methodological provision of the creation of the abovementioned type of educative literature were defi ned.
