Abstract

The paper discusses the need to have a holistic approach to the study of a man as a human being and as a social individual, the subject of mental and spiritual activities. The author believes that a system of knowledge about a man of high school students can be formed only by the integration of the knowledge of the social and the natural character and the knowledge about human being. The selection of the content for the textbook «Science about a Man» was carried out taking into account the formation of knowledge about a man of the students of the 10-11th grades based on the interdisciplinary and the metadisciplinary relations, the competency training, the refl ective and the synergistic approaches. The structural model of a teacher’s cooperation was taken into account. The use of the interactive learning technologies in the development of the high school students’ knowledge about a man involved modeling the real life situations, the role-playing, as well as the collective problems solution. The construction of the textbook «Science about a Man» was based on the experience of the students’ self-identifi cation in different types of refl ective and cognitive activity.
