Abstract

In this article discusses the psychological characteristics of students (age of 5 – 6 classes) in the process of formation their’s communicative skills by means of textbooks’ language. The article argues that despite universal awareness of the importance of textbooks language under psychological characteristics of students, their cognitive abilities and interests, in modern textbooks on Mathematics for 5 – 6 classes these features are considered insuffi cient. It adversely affects to speech-mental development of students. These abstracts are illustrated with examples from textbooks in mathematics.
The authors argue that in the process of creating and using the training manuals need to consider the psychological characteristics of pupils (language development, communication, processes of memory, thinking, perception, etc.), their educational interests and capabilities, quality of language, design and printing performance of textbooks. The article presents the tasks on mathematics the implementation of which will contribute to the development and deepening of students’ language skills.
