Abstract
In the article, the functions of the textbook on Physics in the formation of the subject (physics) competence of the secondary schoolchildren in the system «state standard – educational program – competence-oriented methodology of teaching» are observed. The algorithm of the defi nition of the structure of the secondary schoolchildren’s physics subject competence which is a key factor of the methodological apparatus of a textbook, its functions is suggested. The algorithm of the defi nition of the structure of the secondary schoolchildren’s physics key competence is the following: on the basis of the methodological and the system approaches, the system of the academic awareness of the physics course at the comprehensive school is structured. This system is a matrix that forms the structure of the subject competence which, in its turn, forms the structure of the pupil’s subject competence.
In accordance with the competence-based approach, the requirements comprise the competences and the results which are achieved by the pupils as well as the levels of the competences formation. In this case, a textbook as an integrally organized system of the interrelated academic awareness and competences is an interlink in the chain «education content – teaching process». The renovation of the traditional functions of a textbook is related to the formation of the pupils’ subject and key competences by means of the methodological apparatus of a textbook.
