Abstract

The task of specialized education is high school is in giving the basic knowledge, teaching rules, norms and behavior in the surrounding world. The ways to do it are to defi ne fundamental ecological knowledge and to create conditions for their systematic learning. Despite the number of works on the formation and development of environmental awareness of high school students, fundamentalization of the content of subjects in high school, the problem of fundamentalization of ecological content of subjects for high school students remains understudied. The article highlights the major conditions for obtaining environmental awareness in the course of fundamentalization of high school curriculum. It also suggests the minimum of ecological knowledge to master in high school. The ways of fundamentalization of ecological knowledge of high school students by means of a textbook in Ecology are analyzed.
