Abstract

One of conditions of successful formation the naturally-scientifi c competence is a supplement content textbooks such cognitive problems whose solution is based on the use of logical operations to analyze the conditions and establishing interdisciplinary substance relationships, constructing mathematical models, obtaining new data and more. Performing them may not require the use of mathematical calculations, but requires the student go beyond the content of a particular school subject. At the same time ordering of subject knowledge helps the student to identify the essential characteristics (properties) of objects and phenomena under consideration, discard unnecessary information, and establish a hierarchy of connentions between them. Peculiarity of the quality and context problems, their examples, requirements to their contents and the didactic functions in school textbooks are considered.
