Abstract
The way in which the phenomenon of teaching through technology education – design and technological activities, its main structural components (design, manufacturing techniques, refl ection) is the development of natural, active and personal abilities of pupils, realization of their creative potential. It is shown that the potential of creative activity is possible only on the basis of positive motivation, certain knowledge and skills, taking into account individual experience, capabilities and interests of pupils which can and should be coordinated with social ones. The possibilities of the content and structure of modern textbook on labour studies as to realization of potential of creative activity are considered. The main function of textbook is individual orienteering process of labour studies that systematically encourages pupils to self-learning and self-actualization. Attention is drawn to the importance of refl ection and adequate evaluation by pupils the results of their own design and technology activity.
