Abstract
In the article, the conceptual basis of creating textbooks on the Ukrainian Language for the primary grades of the schools where the languages of national minorities are the teaching ones (Romanian, Moldavian) is demonstrated. The approaches and the principles which defi ne the selection and the structuralizing of the academic material were observed, and their methodological realization in the new textbooks of the primary language course was represented. The series of the textbooks on the Ukrainian Language is aimed at the realization of the main academic purpose which is the formation of the communicative competence taking into consideration the interests and the opportunities of the primary pupils. The textbooks content demostrates the priority of the personality-oriented, communicative, and competence approaches to teaching the Ukrainian Language. The conceptual basis of creating new textbooks on the Ukrainian Language for the 1st-4th grades of the comprehensive educational institutions where the languages of the national minorities are the teaching ones (Romanian, Moldavian) meet the modern standards of the primary language education.
