CONSTRUCTIONG CONTENTS OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE ELECTIVE COURSE AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION IN THE MANUALS FOR STUDENTS OF PROFILE SCHOOL

Abstract

The actuality of the material presented in the article is specifi ed by the transformational changes taking place in educational sphere of Ukraine. Renewal of educational contents is a defi ning component of national education and it prognosticates bringing it in line with modern needs of a student and society. Introduction of profi le education in high school has caused differentiation for contents of teaching foreign languages according to base and profi le levels. One of the important components in the profi le foreign language teaching is the elective courses, the contents of which should be refl ected in the relevant manuals. These manuals are intended to broaden and deepen the knowledge of high school students in foreign languages , which are provided by educational programs and are described in basic textbooks.
