Abstract

An author analyses changes which take place in the process of creation of school textbooks in Ukraine , examines scientific-methodical bases of realization of the new going near creation of modern textbooks for elective courses and feature of this process, which are related to the specific of such courses, depending on their maintenance, structure, tasks and functions. In opinion of author, at creation of such textbooks it is important to take into account market abilities in them competence, person-oriented and active going near teaching of schoolboys. In this case a student can become not only the multifunctional mean of teaching student but also instrumental in forming of ability to be taught during all life, development of him as personality, to apt at self development and self-realization.
