Abstract

In the article, the conceptual basis for the formation of the structure and the content of a Biology textbook for primary schools on the principles of ecological and evolutionary approach is represented. It was designed according to the author’s conception of a Biology textbook for students of the 6th grade, which embodies the eco-evolutionary approach to teaching biology. It involves the study of nature and its diversity of positions. The interdiscipline integration which is based on the ideas of evolution and ecocentrism is also significant. The methodological basis of the author’s conception of biology textbooks represents the conceptual ideas of the ecological and the evolutionary approach, which raises the problem of survival in an unregulated process of industrial production, the deterioration of the environment in all spheres of human activity.
