Abstract

The article highlights the pedagogical potential of the electronic multimedia books and the role of the profession-oriented school (the specialized school) in the educational process. The usage of multimedia textbooks and work on the electronic teaching kits of various thematic orientations should be a norm in a modern specialized school. An electronic multimedia book is an e-learning tool, which guarantees a high scientifi c and technological level, contains a systematic material for the relevant scientifi c – practical knowledge, provides a creative and an active aspect to give students the knowledge, skills and abilities in this area, as well as the continuity and the completeness of the didactic cycle of the learning process through the use of a combination of graphics, text, digital, voice, audio – video, photos and other kinds information. National manufacturers have created more than 120 software tools for the educational purposes, which were recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science for their use in the educational process in secondary schools; a third of them are multimedia books for the high school students.Through the use of electronic multimedia books in the specialized school, we  can improve the effi ciency and the quality of education in major subjects, increase the students’ educational interest in the achievement of the personal orientation of the educational process and the reduction of the costs of training provision.
