Abstract

The article is devoted to the demonstration of the features and the principles of the development of the structure, the content, and the methodological apparatus of a textbook on the basis of the personality-oriented, the activity, and the competence approaches. The role and the importance of the «Technologies» modern textbook for the technological education of the pupils of the main school in correspondence to the requirements of the new edition of the State Standard of the basic and the full secondary education. In the article, an emphasis is put on the fact that the structure and the content of a modern textbook of technologies must guarantee not pupils’ mechanical mastering of knowledge but their practical, conscious usage in practice. The textbook content must form the technically and technologically educated personality who is prepared for life and active creative activity under the conditions of the modern society. At the same time, as it is underscored that actually, the scientifi c works which would be devoted to the peculiarities of the development of the textbooks of technical and technological branch on the basis of the competence approach are absent. The abovementioned requirements to a modern textbook make the authors pay special attention to the structure of every topic (paragraph) of a textbook. Because of this, the essence of all numerous components of the methodical apparatus which must be included in a modern textbook of technologies for pupils are described in details in the article.
