Abstract
The article covers the problem of the development of pupils’ general learning competences by means of a modern school textbook in the aspect of the competence-based approach that requires the creation of textbooks with a focus on the practical orientation of the training material with a different level of its assimilation. Provision in the format of a school textbook knowledge system, necessary and suffi cient for the full mastering of the disciplines within the general learning competencies, will promote the inclusion of the educational projects of three levels in the system of tasks and exercises. The fi rst level is an operational mini-project dealing with the traditional educational tasks. The second level is the tactical project with an increased value, the communicative, the aesthetic and the transformative educational components. The third level is a strategic creative project of the interdisciplinary character. Such a approach should help to improve the system of pupil’s knowledge of training activities, the development of general learning competencies.
